Tumi or not tumi...

so finally last week while i was trying to do my holiday shopping, i decided to get myself a wallet. it's been a few months now that i have nothing or nowhere to put my monies and cards except in my pocket. it was driving me crazy every time i try to something.

anyway, after using the wallet for a week now, i'm still a bit uneasy of actually putting it on my back pockets. i don't like the feeling of having a "bulge" behind my back. also, sitting down is so uncomfortable. why such the fuss about a wallet?? well the last time I actually used a wallet was about 10 years ago. i bought this elephant skin (it was so wrong) wallet from macy's. it was so light and i love it. after it run out of it's use, i got the tiffany money clip that I gave to my brother as a gift - he was not using it so why waste it. ever since then, i was happy with it....until it split into two about two months ago. i was thinking of getting a new one but i figured i should trying using a wallet again.

sob...

this always happen to me. i would wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning and i won't be able to go back to sleep. i hate this. this does not me feel any better specially if i go to bed past 10. should I be taking a sleeping pill just to relax?? a glass of milk?? count sheeps?? i don't know. i just don't know...

more than a new york minute...

i know that I should not blame anybody for this but do they really have to re-direct the whole sidewalk traffic for the christmas tree lighting at rockefeller plaza??? instead of doing my 10 minutes walk from my work to the subway, it basically became 25 minutes. why are people so fascinated of braving the cold wet weather just to see a tree?? I wanted to say "come to my house this weekend and watch me decorate my christmas tree and turn the lights on....i'll include a hot chocolate with that to keep you warm".

As lay in my bed right now waiting for my body to tell me to shutdown, I'm amusing myself by reading blogs if random individuals that I can find online. i tend to follow certain blogs on a regular basis - which by the way tend to influence once in a while - and there are those that I just like looking at it and then move on to the next.

upon waking-up this morning, before doing my weekly ritual of pre-work stuff, I checked the news and read one of the blogs that I follow. the blogger wrote something about a porn actor who won an award in their industry. Most of you would assume that caught my attention but actually it was not. within the same blog, the blogger mentioned that the porn actor was a former professor in college. it was a bit of a surprise for me. well ok, i should have said that it was not a surprise to me-c'mon, this type of story is similar to a topic at Jerry springer. anyway, this particular porn actor also writes his own blog. i decided to check his blog and after reading some of his post, I was amazed on how well written his blogs and stories were. most of this porn actor's readers recommend that he should be a writer. i too agree with everyone comments but after thinking about it, I would assume he gets paid more in his present job than his previous profession. Oh well, I guess we all have to do what we got to do in order to survive.

what an OMG moment this morning. my colleague and running buddy told me this morning that the niketown on 57th street was closed down this past weekend due to bedbugs infestation. i was devastated. i usually go there every tuesday and sometimes thursday after work - i joined their running club. :( at first i was in denial. after my colleague forwarded me a link, i was still in denial. i a had to see it for myself. so, after going to the gym, i passed by and guess what, it's all true.

damn those bedbugs.

in the subway this morning, i saw this guy carrying the shake weight for men. since the train car was really crowded, the shake weight he was carrying was hitting my side area. i felt i was abused, molested, sexually harassed. i was ready to call the cops...LOL

rain, rain go away...

woke up this morning (a few minutes ago) and the first thing that came into my head was the terrible weather that i dealt with during my recent vacation to florida.

while driving through south carolina (between 7 and 9 pm), we noticed that the sun has not come out yet. it has been raining all night while passing through virginia and north carolina. while i was looking at the left side of the window, i see what i think is a cloud formation..not the good type of thing but it looks like it is starting to look like a funnel. my instinct told me a tornado and that i should be worried. i tried my best to stay calm since i have my mom and the kids in the car. i told them to look at where left side and that I might have to find a safe place. luckily enough, the clouds didn't continue to form and we went forward.

on the way back, we got caught in this sudden downpour of rain at georgia. you can easily tell from far away if it's raining or not - dark clouds and what looks like grayish/brown haze between the clouds and section where it's raining. what surprised me when we hit that section (or when the rain finally caught up with us), was that it was raining really hard. it was really blinding. we saw a lot of cars stopped on the side of the road because visibility was really bad. for those who are brave enough (like us), drove with the hazards light no and driving like 10-15 mph. it last for about 10 minutes but it felt like an hour.

one my way to the subway this morning heading to work, i was such in a hurry that i almost miss an "eye candy" who was walking ahead of me. as soon as i noticed this "eye candy", justin timberlake's sexy back started playing on my ipod. i almost lost it. hmmm...

summer vacation...

so it's been almost two months since i last posted here. what happened? we'll after my company moved to the new site, i've been very busy with work - which basically leave me half dead by the time i get back. also, i blame it to facebook. either i am logging on my account or to my nephew's account - to play either cafe world or farmville. anyhow, i am trying to kick the habit. crossing my fingers and toes.

anyway, i went to florida over a week ago with my two nieces, nephew, and my mom. it's their first time visiting there - it's my third. the exciting thing about this trip is that i, yes I, drove from NYC to Orlando. if you try to google map it, it basically say 19.5 hours and 1,000 miles...that is if you keep on going non-stop. but since we are talking about me here, i managed to make it 19 hrs (with about 2 hours in total of stops). don't think i am a reckless driver. i have kids and my mom as my passenger so i was safe...but yes, i drove from NYC to Orlando. i drove to key west as well while in florida - that's another 8 hrs of one way (so 16 hrs in total). oh yeah, don't forget that on the way home, it's another 19 hrs from orlando to NYC.

would I do it again?? only time can tell (wink wink)

me and pac-man...

when i opened my computer this morning, i was surprise with the logo created by google (which by the way is always the case). instead of their usual corporate google "logo", they had a pac-man google icon.


i was a bit curious as to why such a logo? as soon as i placed the mouse above the logo, it mentioned that today is the 30th anniversary of pac-man. has it been that long since i played that game?

i remember when my dad borrowed the atari game console (google it to those who does not know what atari is) from his brother. the only game i could remember playing regularly was pac-man. not to bragged about it, but i actually managed to get 999,999 in pac-man not once but twice. no one really believed me the first time i did but when i managed to do it the 2nd time, my uncle told me that i should stop at 999,999 and record my name. i was a kid back then and seeing a bunch of colorful ghost run after innocent pac-man, i'm sorry, i will keep on chomping.

i love you as well...

last friday, my nephew and niece (dom and em) asked me to close my eyes because they have a present for me. i wasn't expecting anything really since my birthday was two weeks ago. anyway, they keep telling me not to open my eyes so that they can surprise me - which i obeyed of course.

after going down the stairs with the help of my niece em, they both said in unison's to open my eyes. i was greeted by a bouquet of white carnation placed not in a vase but in a vitamin water bottle and a hand made happy birthday note card. it was an unexpected gift in an unexpected occasion. i gave my niece em a kiss on a cheek and gave my nephew a hug...well it's more of a begging for a hug since he's at that age where he thinks it's yucky to kiss or hug.

anyway, what else can i ask? the gesture might seem simple to most but for me, it means the whole world.
