foodtrip: le pain quotidien...

my co-worker and i wanted to have a quick lunch yesterday only to find out that the restaurant was closed.  since we wanted to stay close to our work, we decided to have a longer lunch and went to le pain quotidien.

this the 2nd time i am eating at this place.  i promised myself the first time i went here that i will never go back again.  don't get me wrong, the food here is great but it's not my style - they serve fresh and healthy food  and they do not serve soda :(  since i don't want to figure out where to go, i just agreed.

le pain quotidien is a very homey communal restaurant that serves organic and fresh foods and also famous for their bread.

**Grilled Chicken Cobb: with organic egg, avocado, bacon, blue cheese and lapsang vinaigrette

**Grilled Chicken & Mozzarella di Bufala: diced tomatoes, arugula, herb dressings and tomato salsa

DOMA no more...

a historic event today here in the US of A.  so many great quotes from the ruling of DOMA.  one of the many that resonates to a lot of people comes from justice anthony kennedy:

(DOMA)"instructs all federal officials, and indeed all persons with whom same-sex couples interact,
including their own children, that their marriage is less worthy than the marriage of others."
