i was lucky to be in pinas last month and was able to attend the pahiyas festival in lucban, quezon.
although i enjoyed it, i was a bit disappointed. being half quezonian, i remember as a kid during the fiesta at my mom's hometown, all the houses were decorated in colorful kiping. and you can actually go from one house to another and eat as much as you can. those were the good ol' days.
Hopefully ma-experience ko rin ang Pahiyas...
ReplyDeleteSo colorful... Edible ba talaga lahat?
the kiping, yes...but most of the decorations were not :(
DeleteThis year lang ako di pumunta sayang pala we could have met......at first its feels weird to eat the kiping....hahaha...wht i love most is the pancit hab-hab for just 10 pesos ang sarap.
ReplyDeleteyup. we could have met. maybe next time i visit pinas.
Deletemy cousin and i tried the pancit hab-hab but got embarrassed after we asked for a fork...didn't know that you were suppose to eat it without utensils. LOL
never ko pang naka experiance niyan! :) i waant!
ReplyDeleteit's still nice but it's not like what i remember when i was a young kid. mas makulay at mas masaya.
Deletelucky you. even if i've been contemplating on it every year, i still haven't witnessed pahiyas :(
ReplyDeleteit's was great to be there for the event. now if i can just go to ilocos sur and vigan my next visit, i would be happy.
