this past weekend, the northeast part of the US experienced one of the coldest in recent years. the lowest temperature by saturday night in NYC matched the lowest temp in 1994 and barely missing by 2 points the 1888 temp of 1 degrees. with the windchills, the temp was -10 degrees (or -24 celsius).
