i do not know when and how it happened.
when did i become an adult and should i say it.....frugal??
i remember during my 20's working a block away from 5th ave in NYC, i was surrounded by brand names. i would buy stuff even the most cheapest one just to say i got it from such store. i kid you not but at one point, i remember buying a flip-flop at burberry (this was before burberry became a global brand). i was addicted to it. my paychecks has a designated amount just for buying these BS stuff.
fast forward to the present, i no longer work near 5th ave. if fact, i haven't near where i used to work for 3-4 years. i still work NYC but let's just say every morning, i see kids running around going to school, nanny's with baby's in strollers, and dog walkers.
where do i shop? don't get me wrong. i still look at brand names but 99.99% of the time, i just look. i will splurge once in a blue moon (and yes, I do mean once in a blue moon) but majority of the time, i would go to target and jcpenny. i would venture to a local malls to see what uniqlo or h&m had to offer.
i do look at style and see what's in. i do have a job and i still need to look presentable. it's just that nowadays, price and comfort matters to me more than the name of the brand.
going back to my question again, when did i became an adult and also frugal???
oh well...
